Lounge Memberships and Frequent Flyer Programs

The University will generally not fund memberships for frequent flyer programs or airline lounge memberships.  In special circumstances however, such memberships may be paid by UTS if recommended by the Dean/Director and approved by the relevant member of the UTS Executive.

Travellers with frequent flyer points gained from approved business travel are encouraged to use them wherever possible for university travel (eg: accommodation and air travel)

Staff who exchange frequent flyer points for flights on university travel will not be reimbursed for the value of the air travel.

Utilisation of the 'lowest logical fare' for a journey overrides all personal airline preferences and/or the accrual of frequent flyer points.
